Governor Walz, Lieutenant Governor Flanagan Announce Frontline Worker Payments Start This Week

Governor Walz and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan announced over one million Minnesota frontline workers will receive nearly $500 to recognize their work on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. State officials will begin sending payments Wednesday, October 5, and will continue to process payment information through the fall.

*?I?m grateful for the work Minnesotans did to help people across our state stay healthy and safe through the COVID-19 pandemic,?*?said Governor Walz.?*?Frontline workers are an important part of the fabric of our state and helped us continue functioning during the pandemic. Now, I?m proud to say these workers will receive $487.45 in recognition from the State of Minnesota.?*

Minnesota Joins Three Midwest States to Develop Multistate Hydrogen Hub

Governor Walz announced that he has signed a memorandum of understanding with the governors of North Dakota, Montana, and Wisconsin to develop a regional clean hydrogen hub to help meet the nation?s clean energy, transportation, and agricultural needs.

*?Minnesota is working to expand our clean energy economy and meet the changing needs of industries across our state with innovative solutions,?*?said Governor Walz.?*?I look forward to working with these states to secure a critical investment in clean energy and create a world-class hydrogen hub.?*
