I wanted to send you a quick follow up on my note this morning about our 24-hour NR8 fundraising drive.

We are trying to raise as much money as we possibly can for our NR8 campaigns today. We have 7 fantastic Senate, House and gubernatorial candidates and an important ballot initiative in Oregon to require permits and limit magazine capacities.

We proved this summer that the NRA is beatable. We passed the most significant federal gun safety legislation in nearly three decades. But we know the gun lobby is trying to undo that progress. They are weaker than ever, but they have their eye on November to try to stage their comeback.

So I’m not done fighting. I know there is more we can and must do to save lives, and if you agree, I need you to join us as part of this effort today.

I’m humbly asking you to split a contribution if you can between our NR8 campaigns. This is really important to me.
