This week Josh stood up for the rights of women in Hawaii to make their own reproductive healthcare choices.

In the KHON2 debate with his opponent, Josh made his position clear — as governor, he will defend every woman’s right to make her own decisions about her body.

The opposing ticket has an extreme position on this issue that is out of step with the people of Hawaii — they want to ban abortion with no exceptions for rape, incest, or danger to the life of the mother.

While they try to downplay, sidestep, and dodge the issue of women’s reproductive rights, this week Josh told Hawaii voters exactly where he stands and what he will do if elected.

Josh will immediately issue an executive order to protect patients and healthcare providers from prosecution under extreme laws in states like Texas, propose legislation to ensure access to reproductive healthcare in Hawaii, and appoint State Supreme Court Justices and cabinet members who will defend reproductive rights in our state.
