Folks, this is a longer email than one I usually write, but I wanted to take a few minutes and explain why I’m in this fight.
After graduating from high school I enlisted in the National Guard. You come in, bright-eyed and ready to serve your country. Every new recruit starts out as a Private — the lowest rank during basic training. After 9/11 I went active duty and became a Captain with the Army Rangers.
Training can be grueling, especially the selection process to serve as an Army Ranger
Even when I rose to the rank of Captain, service never gets easier. You’re expected to take on the toughest tasks. You’re always the first one to jump out of the plane, and the last to eat.
That’s the essence of servant leadership. To listen more than talk. To lead by example. To put service above self. Those are the values I learned serving in the Army more than two decades ago, and they’re what I bring to Congress.
Too many folks have felt like they’re left out and left behind. As though they don’t have the resources to achieve their dreams. I know what it’s like to be in your shoes, and I am fighting for you. Every single day.
If you agree that we need more servant leaders in Congress, I hope you’ll consider donating to help me tackle our biggest challenges and put Coloradans first.

Thank you,

Now more than ever, we need strong leaders like Jason working for us in Congress. Jason is fighting for you, your family, and the American people in Congress — and he's not taking a dime of corporate PAC money. Will you pitch in now to help him continue working for us?
