We hope you had a great first week of October! Congressman Kim and our office hope all who observe Yom Kippur had an easy fast. Out in the district, Congressman Kim filled his week with incredible visits with local organizations, speaking with community members, and more.

September Casework Success!
In September, our casework team was proud to return $478,873 to our neighbors in Burlington and Ocean Counties and close 255 cases.

Congressman Kim, Protect Our Care, and New Jersey Citizen Action Talk Healthcare Savings in the Inflation Reduction Act
In Marlton this Thursday, Congressman Kim spoke with the community about the major healthcare savings secured in the Inflation Reduction Act, which was signed into law in August.
Congressman Kim voted to pass the Inflation Reduction Act to lower health costs for Americans and finally allow Medicare to negotiate down the cost of prescription drugs, cap prescription drug costs for thousands of local Seniors on Medicare at $166 per month ($2,000 per year), and cap the cost of insulin for 7,200 local seniors at $35 per month. The legislation will also lower premiums with expanded ACA subsidies.
Supporting Small Business, Congressman Kim Named Champion of Small Business Investing
Congressman Kim was proud to be recognized by the Small Business Investor Alliance for his work on behalf of local small businesses. As the only member of the New Jersey delegation on the House Committee on Small Business, Congressman Kim tirelessly works on behalf of all New Jersey entrepreneurs to ensure they can access the resources they need.
Congressman Kim Speaks with the City of Angels NJ on Veteran Mental Health and Substance Abuse
On Thursday, Congressman Kim discussed veteran mental health and substance use disorder treatment access with the City of Angels NJ. The Congressman is proud to partner with local organizations to provide all the support veterans deserve and work together to create better programs, research, and healthcare that can save lives.
Congressman Kim recently introduced the Solutions Not Stigmas Act which aims to expand and develop education and training programs for substance use disorder (SUD) prevention and treatment. He was also proud to recently help pass the Mainstreaming Addiction Treatment (MAT) Act and his Synthetic Opioid Danger Awareness Act through the House earlier this year.
Ocean County Awarded Grant to Establish a Driving Trail on Revolutionary History
Congressman Kim announced the great news that Ocean County was awarded grant funding to establish a driving train to explore local Revolutionary War history.

Rt. 130 and Working to Deliver on Local Infrastructure Needs
Congressman Kim traveled to Florence this week to meet Councilwoman Marter at an increasingly busy intersection on Rt. 130. Heavy traffic has led to road damage and noise pollution in the area and the Congressman spoke to the Councilwoman about their work to address the issue.
Congressman Kim continues to prioritize delivering federal funds from legislation like the recent bipartisan infrastructure law directly into local projects like this.
Congressman Kim Speaks with Seniors at the Willingboro Friendship Guild
This week, Congressman Kim had the chance to speak with the Willingboro Friendship Guild on his commitment to supporting our local Seniors. He highlighted the major healthcare savings for seniors in the recently enacted Inflation Reduction Act and what implementing those savings will look like.
Upcoming Small Business Resource Sessions
The U.S. Small Business Administration Eastern Pennsylvania District Office invites entrepreneurs and small businesses to bi-weekly virtual Q&A sessions on the various services, resources, and programs offered by the SBA. The next session is Tuesday, October 11, at noon.
