In California, our diversity is our strength.
Every day, Californians from all backgrounds and cultures come together to help fulfill the promise of our Golden State.
This October, CADEM joins our nation in celebrating Filipino American History Month!
Filipino Americans are the second-largest Asian-American community in the United States and the largest Asian-American community in California. We celebrate Filipino American History Month every October to commemorate the arrival of the first Filipinos in modern-day Morro Bay, California, on October 18, 1587.
As we honor the history and legacy of the millions of immigrants from the Philippines and their families, let us recognize their sacrifices and contributions to creating a more perfect union.
Join us on October 13 from 6:00-8:00 PM for a virtual celebration and phonebank as CADEM Celebrates Filipino American History Month!
