We've endorsed some great Iranian-American women fighting for change in the United States.

John, as women in Iran continue fighting for their rights, we wanted to highlight the courageous, passionate Iranian-American women advocating for change right here in America.

Here are some of the exceptional Iranian-American women running to make their communities better places for everyone, including us.

Meet Anna V. Eskamani, Florida State Representative. She first ran for office in 2018 – and became the first Iranian American elected to the Florida State Legislature. Her fight for affordable housing, the economy, and women's rights continue to be an extension of her true human nature. She's running for office again on these values to fight for ALL Americans.

Meet Sara Aminzadeh, a California Coastal Commissioner running to represent District 12 in California's State Assembly. With over 20 years of non-profit policy and advocacy work, Sara has proven time and time again how valuable her leadership will be when it comes to tackling major issues affecting our community. If elected, she would be the first Iranian-American woman to ever sit in the California State Assembly.

Meet Farrah Chaichi, a lifelong resident of Beaverton, an attorney, a champion for human and civil rights and a proud Iranian-American. She was appointed to the Beaverton Human Rights Advisory Commission and has led a campaign centered on justice, equality, compassion, and solidarity. This November, Oregon voters have the opportunity to make history by electing the first-ever Iranian-American woman to the State Legislature. We’re so proud to endorse Farrah Chaichi for Oregon State House, District 35.

Meet Darya Farivar, a first-time candidate running to serve District 46 in the Washington State Legislature. She serves as the Director of Public Policy at Disability Rights Washington, Co-Chair of Seattle's Women's Commission, Policy Chair on the State's Special Education Advisory Community, and Board Member of Peyvand, an organization supporting Iranian students at UW. Her experience makes her a strong advocate for marginalized communities in Washington. And, if elected, she would be the first Middle Eastern woman elected to Washington's State Legislature.

NIAC Action is proud to endorse so many young, powerful women running to create change in their communities. Some have already made history, and some are soon to make history, leading the path for other Iranian-American women in the United States.
