At a recent rally in Michigan, Trump praised Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. With headlines like the one above, it’s little wonder why.

Ginni Thomas played an important role in efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Not only did she pressure lawmakers in both Wisconsin and Arizona to set aside Biden’s popular-vote victory and “choose” new presidential electors that would vote for Trump, she sent at least 21 text messages to White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, including one that read: “The most important thing you can realize right now is that there are no rules in war.”

Everyday people don’t have the cell number of the President’s Chief of Staff. One can only assume Thomas had Meadows’ number because her husband is on the Supreme Court. That’s bad enough to compromise the impartiality of Justice Thomas, but it gets worse.

Ginni Thomas has specifically used the “independent state legislature theory” as the basis for her argument for overturning the 2020 election results. It’s the same argument at the core of Moore v. Harper, a case the Supreme Court will rule on this session that could make Trump’s fake elector scheme legal in 2024.

It’s time to turn up the heat on the Supreme Court and demand Justice Clarence Thomas recuse from ruling on Moore v. Harper and any other cases regarding elections, voting rights, and Donald Trump.

As you can see from the headline above, when Ginni Thomas provided under oath testimony to the January 6 Committee, the media reports she continued to express her ridiculous belief that the election was “the greatest Heist of our History.”^[1]

You won’t be surprised to find out that Trump loved it. He told a rally in Michigan that Thomas had “courage and strength” for backing up the Big Lie.^[2]

“She didn’t wait and sit around and say, ‘Well, let me give you maybe a different answer than I’ve been saying for the last two years’…No, no, she didn’t wilt under pressure like so many others that are weak people and stupid people.”

He went on to call her a “great woman” and the wife of a “great man.” Who just so happens to be ruling on cases that could hand Trump a victory in 2024.

Ginni Thomas irreparably compromises Justice Thomas’ impartiality on Moore v. Harper.

Even if it’s hard to believe we can succeed, this fight is too critical to not take every action in our power to stop the Republican plan to destroy democracy and remove American voters from the selection of the next president.

Make no mistake. That is the goal. Moore v. Harper could let Republican-controlled state legislatures overrule the will of the people and pick the next president of the United States regardless of who wins the actual election in their state.
