We Can't Contain Our Excitement!

Introducing a bill to congress is a pretty cool thing. Not just because it's a great accomplishment, but because it's a chance to make real and lasting change. 

In case you haven't heard, H.R. 8221 would establish a free and optional federal ID. The team at our sister organization, Project ID + Spread The Vote, works so hard to ensure that people who need help getting a government-issued photo ID can get the piece of plastic that they need to apply for jobs, obtain housing, open a bank account and so much more, but they'd happily put themselves out of business if it meant that every American had access to a free ID.

We're also honored to have the support of amazing organizations like the National Domestic Workers Alliance, the Coalition on Human Needs, iFoster, the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics, Care in Action, and the National Center for Transgender Equality.
