There's too much at stake in November to view this election in terms of Democrats versus Republicans.

This district’s election is about the future of our country. It's about the difference between protecting our democracy and succumbing to far-right extremism. It's about the difference between upholding the rights of all Americans to vote and have control over their own bodies and seeing those rights be stripped away.

That's why I'm so proud to be endorsed not only by Democratic leaders, but by independents as well. The Independent Party of Florida endorsed me just a few weeks ago after I beat my opponent Anna Paulina Luna 47-35 among independent voters in a recent poll.

We need leaders in Washington who will listen to the needs of their constituents and work to make the lives of Americans better, not serve their party or special interest groups.

My opponent is endorsed by Trump, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and the gun lobby. She's shown where her allegiance lies.

I do not take special interest funds, but that means I'm falling behind in my fundraising contributions that we need to reach before November.
