This summer, the Supreme Court of the United States handed down the NRA’s dream decision, drastically expanding the number of people who can carry concealed weapons in public.
And now, we are witnessing the dangerous – and potentially deadly – consequences: A federal judge just blocked large portions of New York’s recent gun laws, threatening to invalidate the state’s concealed carry restrictions.
In an attempt to fight against the Supreme Court’s wrong-headed decision, New York moved to ban guns in sensitive places, but because of this recent federal decision, people will be allowed to carry concealed guns in crowded museums, theaters, stadiums – even in Times Square.
What’s even scarier is that this isn’t where the NRA’s ‘guns everywhere’ agenda will end – in fact, it’s just the beginning. A decision like this will encourage gun lobby mouthpieces to challenge common sense gun laws in states across the country.
That’s why I need your help: Brady has continued to sound the alarm on the Supreme Court’s ruling for months, fighting tooth and nail to undo the damage that it is unleashing. We’re doing everything we can to protect gun laws and save lives and we can’t do it without you: Can you help us make it unequivocally clear that Americans support common sense gun laws and stand with us against the NRA’s deadly agenda? Do you think we should make it EASIER to carry a concealed weapon in public?
