Friends —

All across the country, people are splitting donations between 8 critical campaigns and candidates whose victory could mean significant, positive changes in our country’s gun laws.

Now those people are hoping you’ll do the same.

I’m proud to partner with Senator Murphy in this fight — and I am hoping you’ll join those chipping in with a donation of your own at this link:

Split a donation between eight campaigns and candidates taking on the NRA in critical races across the country. Do it today.

In California, we’ve taken the NRA on directly and passed some of the strongest gun laws in the country.

We have universal background checks, an assault weapons ban, we’ve restricted ghost guns and the kits used to build them, and we’ve even passed a bill that holds gun manufacturers responsible for their role in the gun violence epidemic.

The result?

California has some of the lowest rates of gun deaths per-capita of anywhere in the country. Almost 2 times less than states with Republican governors like Florida and Texas, and almost 2-and-a-half times less than Mitch McConnell’s home state of Kentucky.

I share that not to brag, but to say we all know the steps to take that will make our communities safer from gun violence and save lives.

We just need a Congress willing to act.

That’s why Senator Murphy’s call is so important, and why I am thrilled to join him today.

I hope you will, as well:

Can you please split a donation, of any amount you can afford today, between eight candidates and campaigns that are absolutely critical in the fight to save lives from gun violence?

We need your help to get this done, because if we do, we’re going to save lives.

Thanks,

Gavin Newsom
Governor, California
