Hey

Last week, I mentioned what the contents of my go-to "bug out bag" would look like. I received a surprising amount of messages asking that I expand a bit on the topic - so here we go!

I don't actually use the term bug out bag, I know it's the general terminology - but I feel that it sounds too "paranoid" when I'm talking to others outside of our community. Not important, but just a personal tidbit for you.

No matter the name, I feel that it's gravely important to have MULTIPLE of these kits around the house, and in your vehicles. The true point of them is to grab and go, and you want that to be as easy as possible if the time comes.

As for the contents, it's one part preference and one part location. Base your supplies on where you live and the terrain in your area. If you're not sure, take a test run! Head out into your surrounding environment to see what you could scavenge and what you can't - start there.

The three MUST HAVES are always food, water, and shelter. If you need to get out of an area quickly, make sure you have all the necessities - this is not a game show. Take the items you need and know how to use them.

Creating an ideal go-bag is hard work, especially multiples for different areas of your home. So, we took it upon ourselves to create a kit that has ALL your basic necessities!

You can use this as a starting point and customize it as you see fit.

I personally had a hand in helping to create this kit, so check it out and let me know what you think. Pick one or more up right here and get started today!

I hope you guys enjoyed this quick rundown on go-bags, now grab a kit and get to customizing!
