VICTORY: New Child Protection Legislation Passed in the House!

Schools should be one of the safest places a child can be. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case. In fact, schools are often where traffickers go to groom and exploit children. Confirmed cases of human trafficking, including sex trafficking, have occurred on school grounds, at school events, and even carried out by classmates.

That's where the No Trafficking Zones (NTZ) Act comes in. This exciting new legislation, which was recently passed in the House, seeks to make school zones safer by increasing the punishment for trafficking-related offenses that are committed in a school zone or near a school sponsored event.

Contact your members of Congress to urge them to support the No Trafficking Zones Act!

The 2022 Inaugural CESE Africa Conference Invigorates a Movement

Last year at NCOSE's 2021 Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation (CESE) Global Summit, several African partners expressed their desire for a CESE Conference of their own. A year later, that desire came to fruition with the 2021 inaugural CESE Africa Conference!

The CESE Africa Conference brought together individuals and organizations across the African continent who were dedicated to exposing the harms of pornography and its links to all forms of sexual abuse and exploitation.

With an average of 560 daily online participants and 200 in-person attendees, this three day event was a critical connector of leaders in the arduous, yet hopeful journey towards ridding the African continent from all forms of sexual abuse and sexual exploitation.

Over 200 Survivors Call on Congress to Support PROTECT ACT

Last week, we invited you to raise your voice in support of the PROTECT Act – a groundbreaking piece of legislation which protects victims of image-based sexual abuse and deals the biggest blow to the pornography industry yet.

Over 200 survivors, many of whom are influencers, have raised their voices as well. These survivors have signed a letter urging Congress to pass the PROTECT Act. Notable signatories include actors Terry Crews, Whitney Cummings, Joseph Lee Anderson, and Marisol Nichols, and Mexican activist Olimpia Coral Melo Cruz. The letter is coordinated by the courageous survivor-leaders Uldouz Wallace, Katelyn Spencer, and Victoria Galey.

We warmly applaud these brave survivors for speaking out, and urge Congress to listen!

Sincerely,
