With the primaries behind us, all eyes are on November. With the support of our strong, grassroots network of pro-Israel supporters, nearly 90 percent of our endorsed candidates have already crossed their primary victory lines. Pro-Israel members of Congress like Dan Newhouse in Washington and Haley Stevens notched big wins this past month – in Stevens’ case, she decisively defeated fellow incumbent Democrat Andy Levin, who was endorsed by J Street.
Our work, however, isn’t done until our endorsed candidates officially cross the general election victory line in November. That’s why we are focused on these 14 key races [[link removed]] in November (read the exclusive announcement in Jewish Insider here [[link removed]] ), all of whom are facing competitive general challengers this midterm election cycle. Their voices are critical in the 118th Congress to fend off the small but vocal group of anti-Israel detractors, such as Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib – whose latest despicable comments we strongly condemned [[link removed]] – and New York Congressman Jamaal Bowman, who withdrew his support of legislation to build on the success of the Abraham Accords while joining Rep. Tlaib’s insidious resolution to recognize the “Nakba.” I recently wrote about Jamaal Bowman in my Times of Israel column [[link removed]] and his clear pattern of saying one thing and doing another, especially in regard to his initial claim of being “in full support of Israel.” Spoiler alert: he is not.
We must continue to fight back against those who aim to undermine Israel – case in point: the outrageous, one-sided Commission of Inquiry [[link removed]] that the U.N. Human Rights Council has launched, targeting Israel – and we are grateful for your continued support.
