Artis Ware's Grandson here with an important message.

You probably know me better as Tim Scott, but understanding the story of my grandfather will help you understand why I work so passionately to protect the American Dream.

After reading this story and your prayerful consideration,

I hope you will choose to stand with me and work to protect the America we know and love.

My grandfather was born in 1921 in small-town South Carolina, a little place called Salley. Here’s a photograph of him:

As a kid, he had to cross the street if a white person was coming.

He suffered the indignity of being forced out of school as a third grader to pick cotton, never learning to read or write.

And yet he lived long enough to see this country's arc bend towards justice.

He lived long enough to see his grandson become the first African American elected to both the United States House and Senate.

He lived long enough to see his wildest dreams become a reality. From cotton to Congress in one lifetime.

And that's why I believe, with the right decisions, the next American century will be better than the last.

There are millions of families across this nation -- just like mine -- full of potential, seeking to live the American Dream.

John, I know that times are tough, and so many are struggling to provide for their families in this difficult time. So, I am just simply asking for your prayerful consideration.

If you are inspired to join our movement and stand with me, then please chip in whatever you can afford. No amount is too small.

John, although $5 doesn’t sound like much, it goes further than you may think. Your gift would mean so much to me in our push to take back the Senate Majority.

I know we have been asking a lot lately, but

$5 would go a long way to make sure we keep our momentum heading into November.

CHIP IN $5

I understand the value of a dollar, that is why I am humbly asking for your support:
