There’s just over a month left before the midterm elections, and I hate to say it but… we’re being DOMINATED by GOP spending in the district. They’re swamping us.
Outside GOP groups have spent more than $500,000 in TV and digital ads in support of the violent, anti-choice, anti-worker Derrick Van Orden, while Democrats, well… haven’t stepped up so much for Brad.
The media has begun to suggest that Democrats have ABANDONED this open seat! Are we really resigned to letting an insurrectionist flip Rep. Ron Kind’s seat? Are we really OK with the possibility of losing the House?
Team, we need to change the narrative and FAST. I set a rapid response goal to raise $10,000 in the next 24 hours. Bold, I know, but we have to be bold in an election like this. Can I count on you to chip in $25?
Here’s what the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has to say:
Republicans are expected to more than double Democrats in overall television advertising spending in the race, according to data this week from a source tracking ad buys. – MJS reports
Kevin McCarthy’s PAC has already spent more than $400,000 in TV and digital ads supporting Van Orden, and there’s no end in sight. The dark money world of the GOP is keyed in on flipping Rep. Kind’s seat, and they’re willing to spend millions to do it.
But we know the key to victory, friend.
When independent and even some Republican voters hear about Van Orden’s ideology and where he stands on the issues that matter most, like access to abortion and health care, they become Brad supporters.
Put another way: we CAN and WILL win if we can simply get our message across beyond the GOP flood of ads!
That’s why I’m reaching out with this rapid response moment. If we can raise $10,000 in 24 hours, it will show Republicans that we have NOT abandoned Brad and that we ARE willing to fight to the end in this critical House seat!
So please, chip in $25 or even just $10 right now to make sure Democrats can hold on to this critically important open seat!
Thanks so much, I appreciate you reading this.
