 We fund voter protection John, For every fight we win, there’s another we need to keep pushing for. This week was no different. In Michigan, the state legislature passed a bill that will allow election officials to start processing mail ballots prior to Election Day. In Arizona, a federal court blocked enforcement of a new law which would violate the National Voter Registration Act. And a Pennsylvania court ruled that counties may allow voters to correct errors on their mail ballot envelopes. That’s all amazing news for voting rights!! But at the same time, a new lawsuit filed in Wisconsin by a far-right group will try to prohibit voters from intentionally canceling their returned mail ballots before Election Day. What that boils down to is this: It will make it harder for Wisconsinites to vote. We’ve made a lot of progress this year, John, but we cannot slow down. Republicans won’t stop until they’ve suppressed the vote in every possible way… unless we have something to say about it.
