We’ve spent down our cultural and religious inheritance. What little binds us together is the vestige of a saner, more God-fearing hour.

What can be done? We need religious voices speaking religiously, and not only on theological topics. We need people of good will to join together in returning to first principles and ordered ways of living—particularly living together. We need to fan into flame the embers of our cultural and religious inheritance.
