Gabe has been named one of the NR8: seven gun safety candidates running in flippable districts against NRA-backed opponents in some of the most competitive and important races this year.

Unlike Yvette Herrell, who has voted against bills to prevent gun violence, Gabe is committed to taking commonsense action to save lives from mass shootings and other gun violence plaguing our communities: expanding background checks, instituting red flag laws, and expanding research on ways to curb gun violence are ways we can keep our families and children safe while protecting our 2nd Amendment rights.

This past summer, Democrats passed the most significant federal gun safety legislation in nearly three decades. But we know the gun lobby is trying to undo that progress.

They are weaker than ever, but they have their eye on November to try to stage their comeback. A key part of that is re-electing Herrell here in NM-02.
