Hi John,

For more than two years, workers at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA) have been fighting for their first contract. But management is stalling and union-busting. Now these workers are on strike and need our solidarity.

On Aug. 6, 2020, 89% of PMA workers voted to join AFSCME Local 397 in a historic landslide victory.

But we know the road to a first contract is not always easy. Especially if management repeatedly violates federal law by engaging in union-busting activity during contract negotiations.

After two years of negotiations, the PMA workers overwhelmingly authorized a strike. Museum workers have been on the picket line since Sept. 26, 2022.

Learn more about how you can support the PMA workers while they’re on strike.

And if you’re in the Philadelphia area, we’ll see you on the picket line!

In Solidarity,

Team AFL-CIO
