Hundreds of Thousands Still Displaced by Hurricane Fiona

Our teams are also on the ground providing emergency aid following the catastrophic damage caused by Hurricane Fiona. Over 8,000 homes in the Dominican Republic have been damaged or destroyed and 500,000 residents remain without electricity. In Puerto Rico, over 300,000 people remain without power and more than 200,000 still lack access to water.

With your help, Project HOPE has been providing much-needed disaster hygiene kits, as well as water and chlorine tabs to people in need. We are also providing medical and mental health support for home visits to the most vulnerable populations in need of special care, such as the elderly and those who are
bedridden.

Your Impact in Ukraine

The outpouring of support from the Project HOPE community during the early months of the Ukraine crisis was truly amazing. With your help, we have delivered $4.7 million in pharmaceuticals and medical materials. We have supported 50 health facilities in Ukraine, distributed more than 20,000 hygiene kits, rehabilitated health facilities in four cities, and launched three mobile medical units.

Outside Ukraine, our refugee response has provided mental health support and direct care to the thousands of refugees in need. Project HOPE will remain committed to caring for Ukrainians for the long-term as the war continues across the country.
