Dear John
Could your group or church be interested in running a Local Pantry? During Challenge Poverty Week
[[link removed]] , we're holding a 'What is a Pantry?' online event - come along if you can.
WHAT IS A PANTRY?
TUESDAY 18 OCTOBER, 2PM TO 3PM. ONLINE EVENT.
During lockdown, Pantries proved to be a great support to communities. Now,
during the cost of living crisis, Pantries soften the blow of high living costs.
Pantries create a safe place for communities to come together and thrive. Not
only do pantries provide food for low costs, but also builds relationships in a
supportive environment so together, people can reclaime dignity, choice and
hope.
Taking place during Challenge Poverty Week, the online "What is a Pantry?" event
will highlight how Pantries help tackle poverty and uphold dignity in local
communities. Learn more about the awareness week and other events are taking
place throught the week by visiting the Challenge Poverty Week England and Wales (2022) website.
