The U.S. Department of Interior and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management have proposed a five-year plan for offshore drilling that includes up to 11 new offshore drilling projects. This proposed plan is currently accepting comments from the public.
We know the dangers this poses – Deepwater Horizon was a massive oil spill and catastrophe. And we also know that continued emissions from fossil fuels are driving devastating global warming – it will take years to recover from Hurricane Ian.
The good news is this plan is currently in the proposal stage, and we have the power to stop it!
