Join me on October 18th in support of Iwen Chu!

Friend,

This year, our neighbors in Sunset Park, Bensonhurst, Bath Beach, Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, and Kensington have an opportunity to elect a state senator to represent the newly created 17th Senate District, the first Asian-American plurality senate district in Brooklyn. This district includes many of the neighborhoods I currently represent, and this election is a historic opportunity to elect the first Asian-American state legislator from Brooklyn.

I am proud to endorse Iwen Chu for Senate District 17! Iwen is a first-generation Asian-American, a decade-long public servant, and a proven community leader. Her work advocating for AAPI communities as a chief-of-staff to Assembly Member Peter Abbate and as an activist in her own right has proven her dedication to bridging the gap between the Asian American communities of South Brooklyn and the halls of Albany. Iwen and I have worked together for years and I know she will be an amazing addition to the New York State Senate.

On Tuesday, October 18th at 7 pm, join me and my colleagues for an event in support of Iwen’s campaign. RSVP to join us here.

I’m all in for Iwen — and I hope you’ll join me!

Andrew
