Last month, MCB's Proudly Muslim & Black team released the groundbreaking report: Race, Faith & Community in Contemporary Britain: Essays on Black, African and African Caribbean Muslims in the UK.

Black British Muslims play an important role in British society. Still, they are often poorly represented in public discourse, policy, and across various sectors.

This landmark collection of essays from over 40 authors aims to bring Black British Muslim voices to the forefront and work towards increased inclusion and belonging in wider British society and within British Muslim communities.

MCB calls for action against far-right Hindutva extremism in Leicester.

We were deeply concerned at the escalation of communal tensions and the ongoing violence in Leicester. Representing our affiliates, we added a credible and national voice to those appealing for calm at such a sensitive time.

Letter to the Indian High Commission

We wrote to the Indian High Commissioner regarding the statement on 19th September regarding the recent events in Leicester.

We called for a just view on events and to address the deeper issue of exported Hindutva extremism.

MCB Secretary-General spoke at Bristol University for a public panel entitled: "Who do we think we are? What is the state of multiculturalism in Britain today, and where might we be headed?”

The event was chaired by John Denham, alongside Gary Young and was in recognition of the works Professor Tariq Modood.
