We support the government's initiative to push for a healthier Singapore.

With a rapidly ageing population, the PAP government is preparing our healthcare system to better cater to elderly Singaporeans.

Parliament has endorsed the White Paper on Healthier SG ([link removed]) , which sets the foundation to help all Singaporeans to take steps towards preventive care and healthier lifestyle. Health Minister Ong Ye Kung ([link removed]) explained the rationale behind the initiative ([link removed]) .

Every Singaporean must continue to benefit from the quality healthcare system we have. Together with the PAP government, we will ensure that.

In Parliament this week, our MPs are concerned about how Singapore will cope with inflation in the longer term, as well as whether government can provide more help for all Singaporeans and targeted help for lower-wage workers. Read more ([link removed]) .

Our MPs reflected the concerns of their residents on the rise in property prices. Our MPs also spoke about creating more opportunities for Singaporeans ([link removed]) . A survey of over 1000 seniors on employment of seniors showed that many seniors want to learn new skills and stay employed even as they age. In Parliament, MP Jessica Tan ([link removed]) called for a more concerted focus on senior employability ([link removed]) .

We commemorated International Day of Older Persons on 1 Oct 2022 by reaffirming our commitment to strengthen support for seniors in Singapore and empower their lives.

At the event organised by our PAP Seniors Group (PAPSG) , DPM Lawrence Wong ([link removed]) highlighted the important role our seniors play in building tomorrow’s Singapore amid our changing world ([link removed]) .
