Hi John,

Imagine the power of the Bay Area’s roughly 200,000 affordable housing residents.

Imagine the transformative influence they could have on the housing and racial justice movements, as we collectively work towards homes for all.

We think that activating their civic participation can have a major impact on this critical work and we know our direct service providers can lead the way.

Do you work as resident services staff or otherwise provide direct service in the affordable housing industry?

If yes, and if you’re ready to foster a culture of advocacy within your affordable housing community, then NPH’s Community Advocacy & Voter Engagement (CAVE) Professional Certification program is for you! The fifth CAVE cohort starts in exactly two weeks on October 20 and there’s still plenty of time to sign up!

What CAVE Offers You’ll receive the leadership tools you need to give residents a voice through voting and empower their ability to catalyze change, in addition to comprehensive organizing, policy, and housing history training.

Homes Are for People, Not Pests!

Everyone in our community deserves a safe and healthy home, and that includes a pest-free environment. Join us with Regional Asthma Management & Prevention (RAMP) to examine their prevention-focused approach to pest management that helps affordable housing developers and on-site staff get ahead of the issue before it gets out of control!

Join us on Wednesday, October 26 from 12:00PM - 1:30PM PT for Preventing Pest Infestations: Lessons Learned Using Integrated Pest Management in Affordable Housing, which will offer the essential tactics, challenges, and analysis you should be aware of in implementing a strong pest-prevention plan.
