At our Christmas table, the Bidens will talk about our incredible year, about all that we have seen and done, and most of all, about our gratitude. And in that way, you will be with us because what we have seen this year is incredible courage: ordinary Americans from every corner of the nation stepping up to fight for the soul of America. We have seen hope: people of all ages, of all backgrounds, who are not defeated by the terrible things they see on the news, but are instead moved to make their neighborhoods better. We have seen incredible enthusiasm and passion from the people who are the heart of this campaign -- people like you.

Standing alongside you -- and standing up for the values that we share -- is the honor of our lifetimes.

As we reflect on our blessings and recommit ourselves to the values that define who we are as a nation, our hearts will also be with all of the dedicated Americans whose service to our country will keep them away from home this holiday season, those working in our hospitals and fire stations, our police and emergency workers, and of course, the brave men and women serving our country around the world. Their sacrifice and spirit fill us with gratitude and pride.

So thank you for standing with us. Thank you for giving us so much to be thankful for and thank you for all that we will do together in 2020. With your help, we will have even more to celebrate next year!
