I've spent my entire career sticking up for working people. Before coming to Congress, I worked as a trial attorney fighting for working folks in Scranton. But in 2012, I knew I could do more good serving the hardworking people of Northeastern Pennsylvania in Congress, and for the last ten years, I've fought for the families of PA-08 as your congressman.

I've always believed that we need leaders who put people first – not politics. That's exactly the approach I take in Congress.

Throughout my time in the House, I've introduced more legislation cosponsored by both Democrats and Republicans than any other House Democrat. That's why the Center for Effective Lawmaking named me one of the most effective members of the U.S. House.

I'm proud of the work I've done for Northeastern Pennsylvanians, but there's much more work to be done. People are facing hard times, and they need leaders who work for them, not the special interests or the well-connected.

I'm ready to keep fighting for all Northeastern Pennsylvanians in Congress, but I'm facing my toughest race yet. Election experts are calling this race a "toss-up," and the latest polls show I'm neck-and-neck with my opponent.
