John,
In the 2018 and 2020 U.S. elections, young people turned out in impressive numbers. In retaliation, some state legislatures have tightened their voting laws in order to make it harder for young people and people of color to vote.
Secretaries of State can act now to ensure more young people can vote in 2022’s election by:
-
Ensuring there are polling places on or near campuses
-
Allowing students to vote using their college ID
-
Automatically sending mail-in ballots to students registered to vote in-state
Sign on and demand Secretaries of State make voting easier for college students! >>
Together, we can end voter suppression and expand voting rights for all.
In solidarity,
Rashida
