Every Christmas, families and friends gather to celebrate each other and all that God has blessed us with. The Christmas season has a special ability to inspire goodwill in all of us and offers time to reflect on our blessings and carry this charitable spirit with us into the new year.

This year, I have so much to be thankful for. Most importantly, I am fortunate to be able to spend time at home with my family. While we are with our families this holiday season, may we keep the brave men and women who give so much to our country in our thoughts and in our prayers. From our soldiers spending their holidays overseas, to the first responders, firefighters, and law enforcement officers here at home, these heroes have earned the thankfulness of all Americans for the sacrifices they make. 

I am incredibly grateful for the privilege of representing the people of Louisiana. From my family to yours, Merry Christmas!
