Join CND and Sands Films Cinema Club for a special screening and discussion of the film adaptation of the late Raymond Briggs' nuclear war parable, When the Wind Blows. Available to attend both in-person and online.
- Tuesday, October 25, 7:45-10:30pm
- Sands Films, London, SE16 4HZ, reserve your seat here.
- Register for online screening here.
The screening will be introduced by Kate Hudson, CND General Secretary, and will be followed by a panel discussion with film makers Vicki Lesley, The Atom: A Love Affair, and Ben Tobin, on the role films play in political campaigning.
With the threat of nuclear war at its highest in decades, this film serves as an important reminder of the devastating reality of a nuclear war and the futility of the government's claim that you can 'Protect and Survive'. Instead, we must 'Protest and Survive' and continue the campaign to rid the world of nuclear weapons.
