On June 24, 2022, the nation cheered when the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, a decision estimated to save over 150,000 pre-born babies a year. At the same time, Democrats in Congress planned ways to continue to thwart pro-life efforts at the national level. Now, more than ever, it is vital to have strong, dedicated pro-life members of Congress.
As your Republican nominee for Congressional District 1, I pledge to you that I will continue to fight for the unborn as your Congressman, just as I have as Smith County Judge. When Planned Parenthood and others challenged the Texas Heartbeat Law in Smith County, I led the efforts to defend it, and we won!
