REMINDER - TONIGHT: Join Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chair Dr. Raul Ruiz (D-CA) and me on our Weekly Grassroots Volunteer Update for #HispanicHeritageMonth, as we celebrate the progress Democrats delivered on jobs, health care, climate and lower costs — and our plans to defeat Republicans who restrict freedoms, block DACA and embrace anti-immigrant cruelty.

Dear Friends,
Less than 5 weeks from securing our great Democratic victory on November 8th and with early voting happening across America over the next few weeks, YOU have a key role to play in getting out a record vote to hold our Democratic House. For up-to-the-minute updates, please be sure to follow me at https://twitter.com/TeamPelosi
As we continue our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, I am thrilled that we will be joined TONIGHT at 4PM PT / 7PM ET for this week’s Grassroots Volunteer Update by my great colleague and fellow Californian, the Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus – Rep. Raul Ruiz, MD. Chair Ruiz will discuss how Latino voters were instrumental in Democrats’ successes in 2018 and 2020 — and the work Democrats are doing to deliver for Hispanic and Latino communities.
Join our conversation. RSVP:

In the Congress, Dr. Ruiz represents California’s 36th District – the home of Coachella. He is the proud son of farm workers whose community helped pay for his education, lifting him to three Harvard degrees. Dr. Ruiz serves on the Energy & Commerce and Veterans' Affairs committees. An unmatched hero for public health, Dr. Ruiz was an indispensable intellectual resource in our success in crafting and enacting the PACT Act, giving cancer care to veterans exposed to toxic burn pits and Agent Orange, and for our military families exposed to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. A man of his word who promised he would always give back to the community that believed in him, Dr. Ruiz continues to pay it forward by changing lives from Mexico to Serbia to Haiti and, to this day, in the Emergency Room as he takes a shift when he is back home.
Under Chair Ruiz’s leadership, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus has prioritized equitable distribution of covid relief, infrastructure investments, and the inflation reduction law; secured jobs and environmental justice protections for frontline communities; supported investments in education, including Hispanic Serving Institutions and bigger Pell Grants; and lowered costs and increased access to health care.
As always, thank you for all you do as our VIPs – our volunteers in politics — who put us in power to deliver For The People.
