Dear Supporter,
I am pleased to inform you of a major SPUC National Prayer Campaign.
On 27th October 2022, it will be exactly 55 years since the Abortion Act of 1967 was passed by Parliament. Since then, 10 million babies have lost their lives in this country to abortion. In the face of such tragedy, the response from the Christian community must be rooted in prayer.
For many of SPUC’s supporters, prayer is undoubtedly an integral part of life. SPUC relies on the support of so many people to continue our life-saving work. In the face of increased hostility to the pro-life cause in the media in recent months, now is a time for many prayerful pro-lifers to rededicate themselves to praying for respect for life.
For many, the battle to defend life can be a spiritual one and on 27th October 2022 we will be launching a National Prayer Campaign, in collaboration with the Knights of St. Columba, to encourage Christian supporters to pray with renewed faith and trust for an end to the culture of death and for a flourishing of the culture of life. With this in mind, please see my video at the beginning of this email.
Between 27th October 2022 and 27th April 2023 (this second date is the 55th anniversary of the Abortion Act coming into effect), we will be aiming to reach a milestone of 10 million prayers being offered in memory of the 10 million lives lost to abortion. Prayers are of enormous value in the battle to defend the sanctity of life and unborn children and mothers are greatly in need of your intercession.
If you are a person of prayer, and are willing to help us in this effort you can tell us of your prayers by clicking the link below.

To help us get this out to as many as possible, please, if you would, share both the above video and the campaign page, or simply tell people about this most pressing of campaigns.
Every prayer offered brings us closer to a day when abortion will be unthinkable. Please unite with us and we will bring an end to the tragedy of abortion. Thank you!
Yours in defence of life,
