Fall Updates From Santa Fe Dreamers Project -
We are excited to be partnering in new ways with our friends at New Mexico Dream Team! We will be teaming up to provide free legal consultations at the Dream Team's monthly Rental Assistance Clinics, where Dream Team staff will be assisting individuals in applying for rental assistance. The first clinics were held last month at Ernie Pyle Middle School in Albuquerque - stay in touch with us on our social media for details about future clinics!

In our continued efforts to stabilize our finances in light of all the economic hurdles caused by the pandemic, Santa Fe Dreamers Project has begun to charge legal fees for some of our services. While this is a big change for us, we are committed to keeping our services accessible to our clients by charging fees that are less than a third of the fees most private law firms charge. We will also be able to offer completely free services to all clients who need them, as well as all applicants for humanitarian protections. We commit that no client will be turned away due to inability to pay. Free services will continue to be provided thanks to the generous and faithful support of our donors and funders. We hope that this change will help us protect our program capacity and ensure our stability and longevity moving forward.
- Santa Fe Dreamers Project has a new Executive Director! After two years of dedicated service, our Interim Executive Director, Michael Santillanes, has stepped down from this role, and our legal director, Emma O'Sullivan, is now serving as Executive Director. Emma has been with SFDP since 2016 and is excited to support the staff and programs into our next season.
