Over this past week in Florida, we've witnessed unimaginable destruction, loss and grief. Val Demings has been on the ground responding to Hurricane Ian, helping every Floridian she can. As a first responder for nearly three decades, she knows these are the moments where she must do everything in her power to help her community recover.

But that, rightfully so, meant fundraising took a backseat. Our whole campaign was put on hold last week. We pulled down most of our ads so Val Demings could keep the focus on Floridians who needed help. 

The truth is, that cost us big time. Val Demings is way short on fundraising, while Marco Rubio's dark-money donors continue to flood his campaign with huge checks. To catch up, we're calling on this grassroots movement to do something that's never been done: Raise $500,000 by midnight. 

I know this is a bold request, but I also know this grassroots team is capable of incredible things. With 33 days until the election, a brand-new poll out this week shows Val Demings tied with Rubio, 46-46. We never would have reached this point without your grassroots support, but Val Demings can't recharge her campaign and win without hitting this new $500,000 goal.

So our team is coming to you with one of our most important requests of the campaign: Will you please donate $5 or more – truly, whatever you can spare to help Val Demings raise $500,000 to defeat Marco Rubio and expand our Democratic Senate majority?
