Team,
We wanted to share some great news – Elissa just received a major endorsement from the Michigan Association of Police Organizations.
During her time in Congress, Elissa has fought to improve public safety in the communities she represents. She helped secure $1.3 million for the Lansing Police Department, funding three crisis assessment teams made up of social workers and advocates to address non-police emergencies. She also helped lead the Invest to Protect Act, which recently passed the House – bipartisan legislation to provide resources to small police departments with under 125 officers.
This endorsement comes on top of other recent endorsements from both the Detroit and Lansing Regional Chambers of Commerce.
The message here is clear: Michiganders are looking for a tested leader who is willing to work to find bipartisan solutions to Michigan’s toughest challenges.
