Last week, Hurricane Ian made landfall in Southwest Florida, leaving a path of destruction that will take months, if not years, to recover from. Many are predicting this storm will be the costliest since Hurricane Andrew in 1992.

Meanwhile, at a time when Floridians need it most, our property insurance market is collapsing.

Homeowners across Florida are facing skyrocketing insurance rates – 3 times higher than the national average – and uncertainty about their coverage. And hurricane season isn’t even over.
For too long, lawmakers have ignored this growing issue. Now, Floridians are paying the price even after we gave insurance companies a $2 billion bailout.

When I’m in Tallahassee, I promise to fight for real solutions to this crisis like limiting rate hikes, increasing transparency and more. But I need your help to get there.
