Alcohol Change UK responds to scrapping of planned increase on alcohol duty
New Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng has scrapped the planned increase on alcohol duty.
Responding to the axing of the planned duty increase, Dr Richard Piper, CEO of Alcohol Change UK, said:
"Cancelling the planned increase on alcohol duty is damaging and will cause more harm than good. Evidence clearly shows that cutting duty increases alcohol harm."
