This month, I was pleased to host my friends in Washington D.C. from Rodale Institute, Serenbe Farms, and Gilliard Farms for a full House Agriculture Committee hearing to discuss supporting regenerative agriculture and soil health for farms in Georgia and across the country.

I joined Kirsten Garris of WSB-TV following the hearing to discuss investments in regenerative agriculture and ways that we can strengthen our food supply chain. 

This month, I was delighted to meet with Ray Carter and Condace Pressley of WSB-TV at their Atlanta studios. I am thankful for all that they do to keep our community informed and engaged!

During the 117th Congress, Congressional Democrats and President Biden have passed several laws to lower costs for hardworking Americans and promote economic growth. The American Rescue Plan, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, and the CHIPS and Science Act paved the way to helping Georgians and millions across the country get back on their feet.

Below you will find a few important facts and figures from the Joint Economic Committee pertaining to Georgia's Thirteenth Congressional District (as of August 2022):

• More than 26,800 jobs have been created in the district since President Biden came into office. This figure includes over 1,100 manufacturing jobs in the district.
• The Inflation Reduction Act is helping an estimated 54,000 people across GA-13 access affordable health care coverage by capping premiums and out-of-pocket drug costs, and by expanding coverage for working families.
• As many as 85,000 seniors in the district with Medicare prescription drug coverage will soon pay less for their medications thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act.
