I wanted to send you the press release below so that you know what is going on in our race for US Congress. My opponent is lying and slandering my record relentlessly through ads on TV, Radio, social media, and large mailers. Yesterday, we held a press conference where we launched our new website, thetruthabouttroneandparrott.com to help set the record straight.

I can't write a check for $12 million like my opponent has done to get out his false messages, but by working together, we are winning this race. At the press conference, we released an internal poll that shows that this race is running neck and neck. Now, President Biden is planning to come to Hagerstown this Friday to try to get votes for my opponent, David Trone.

I want you to know that we are winning in large part because of you and your support. I need to respond with radio ads, tv ads, through social media, and other media to get our positive message out.

Press Conference: False HIV Tattoo Commercial Addressed

Washington County – Congressman David Trone has produced false incendiary attack ads indicating that his opponent, Delegate Neil Parrott, wants to tattoo children with HIV/AIDS on the arm in Nazi-esque fashion. You can see one of the false commercials by going to [link removed].

To address this and other false accusations made by Congressman David Trone, a press conference was held on Wednesday, October 5^th, at 10 AM. You can see a video of the event by going to [link removed]. The event took place in front of the Frederick County Courthouse located at 100 W Patrick St, Frederick, MD 21701 on the corner of Court Street S. and W. Patrick Street.

At the event, Delegate Neil Parrott, Mrs. April Parrott, and Sheriff Chuck Jenkins responded to the slanderous, negative attacks from Congressman David Trone.

Mrs. April Parrott indicated that, "Over the past few weeks, David Trone has wasted your time by lying about my husband with his non-stop ads and mailings. I value honesty and kindness, and it is upsetting to see so many lies about my husband from a sitting Congressman. Including my children in the slanderous tattoo commercial was a low blow."

Delegate Neil Parrott announced a new website stating, "I am an engineer. I am practical. I seek common-sense solutions, and I deal in facts. So, today, I announce to you the unveiling of a new website: www.theTruthAboutTroneAndParrott.com. At theTruthAboutTroneAndParrott.com, you will find each of Trone’s false accusations about me, the factual response, with links, and Trone’s voting record based on those issues."

Sheriff Chuck Jenkins spoke about how this slander is inappropriate in any race. He also talked about how Congressman Trone has failed our community by not securing the southern border where illegal drugs are freely flowing into our country and killing many Americans.

The Economist shows Maryland’s District 6 Race between Delegate Neil Parrott and Congressman David Trone as the 8^th most competitive race in the country out of 435 races.[1] (#_ftn1) An internal poll was released at the press conference that shows that the race is extremely close.

In addition, Neil Parrott challenged David Trone to a debate in Frederick County. While David Trone agreed to participate in two forums in Western Maryland, he has not agree to a debate or any forums in Frederick or Montgomery County.
