Rage is a perfectly appropriate responseGrieving, vote ready and united in our struggles
I’ve been particularly angry lately. Given what we’re up against rage feels like a perfectly appropriate response. But while in past I have had places to direct and channel my anger, I’m feeling lost these days. It’s too much, too fast, too many to count that I don’t know where to go or what to do with these feelings. I’m naming this because maybe you’re feeling this too. But when I slow down enough to listen to the language of my anger, I discover that it’s not anger at all. “I sat with my anger long enough until she told me her name was grief” (unknown). The grief feels endless. Grief for the world we have inherited. Grief for all those lost in its web. Grief for an uncertain future. But grief can be both a response to change and a force for change. And so I’m letting it wash over me and so that I may be of service to the change that we all deserve. Hang in there, y’all. And take care of each other. Kerri (she/her) Art by @boldomatic

Art by @whenweallvote While the establishment tries to divide us, restrictions on trans rights and abortion rights come from the same playbook. The systems and structures designed to ban abortion are the same ones threatening trans lives. Over 300 anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ bills have been proposed in state legislatures just in 2022, and over 20 new anti-trans bills have become law over the past three years. In the same period of time, 541 of restrictions aimed at pushing abortion out of reach have been proposed and 38 have become law. Nearly all of these bills politicize our bodily autonomy and access to essential, life-saving health care. We must not give into their divide and conquer tactics and see how our struggles (and liberation) are bound. Only then can we organize the political power needed to protect each other and create the conditions where everyone can thrive on their terms. Art by @blairimani Fuck productivity. Make art.
