In a not-so-shocking turn of events, Gavin Newsom has prioritized CRIMINALS over the law-abiding CITIZENS of California.
Last week, Newsom signed SB-731 into law, automatically sealing the conviction and arrest records for ex-offenders who are not convicted of another felony for four years after the completion of their sentence.
In a pathetic attempt to defend this legislation, Democratic state Sen. Maria Elena Durazo said that criminal records available through background checks create "a permanent underclass." What a joke.
This is a blatant attempt to hide the rate of increasing crime in California - of which about 8 million individuals in the state have a criminal record.
Thank you for supporting the California Republican Party. November’s Midterm Elections are absolutely crucial to the future of our nation and will be here before we know it. We have the opportunity to take back the House, fire Gavin Newsom and Nancy Pelosi for good, and flip blue down ballot seats.
