It’s Tabitha, Policy Director here on the Chris Jones for Arkansas campaign. As we get down to the wire in the final five weeks of the campaign, I wanted to reach out to you to share why I’m so proud to be on this team.

Chris and I met when he was a dean at MIT and I was an undergraduate student. At first, he hired me as an assistant, but in what felt like no time he entrusted me to help manage the summer research program he led. Chris and his wife, Dr. Jerrilyn, took me under their wing and invited me over for dinners. I often say that working with Chris was one of the most fulfilling roles of my career, because he wholeheartedly believed in my abilities and trusted me to get things done.

Now all these years later, I’m working with him again — this time, to bring bold change to Arkansas. When Chris told me he was running for governor, the decision to join the team and help in any capacity was a no-brainer.

As a seventh-generation Arkansan, he knows exactly what’s at stake in this election, and I know for a fact that a Governor Chris Jones would make all the difference for working-class and middle-class families. Just like he believed in me all those years ago, I know he believes in a better future for the hardworking people of Arkansas, too.
