Both of these Secretary of State candidates are progressive rockstars. In Georgia, Representative Bee Nguyen has led the fight against Republican-backed restrictions on voting (as well as holds the office previously held by The Stacey Abrams), and in Arizona, former Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes has increased registered voters by five hundred thousand people, making Maricopa County the second-largest voting jurisdiction in the country.

Because of their commitment to expanding voting rights they are under attack by Alt-Right and “Always Trump” Conservatives. Secretaries of State are our chief election officials who are there to make sure rules are followed, voters are protected, and *actual* voting results are maintained. 

This is why Secretary of State races are so important, and why we’ve got more work to do in AZ and GA.
