This is great news: Polls are showing Mandela Barnes leading over Sen. Ron Johnson.

But there’s a catch -- all of the polls have single-digit margins, and experts agree: Wisconsin’s Senate race is virtually tied.

Vox calls this one of the 10 closest races in the country and Cook Political Report rates it a toss-up. Mandela needs all the grassroots support he can get if he’s going to replace one of the most vulnerable Republicans up for re-election this year.

The differences between Mandela and Johnson couldn’t be any starker:

RON JOHNSON is a Trump ally who supported overturning the 2020 election, refused to support protecting the right to same-sex marriage, and wants to put Medicare and Social Security on the chopping block if Washington Republicans take back the Senate this year.

MANDELA BARNES is Wisconsin’s Lieutenant Governor and a former community organizer who is committed to revitalizing U.S. manufacturing, creating good-paying jobs, and expanding access to affordable health care.

Mandela has what it takes to win, and Washington Republicans know it. That’s why in recent weeks they’ve outspent us in Wisconsin by over $1 million.
