NBC/Telemundo Poll of Latino Voters
Democrats — 54%
Republicans — 33%
10 years ago, Democrats held a 42 point advantage amongst Latinx voters. That margin has been cut in half as Latinx voters become an increasingly diverse voting bloc.
But the malicious spread of Spanish-language conspiracy theories and disinformation by right-wing bad actors on social networks has contributed to these shifting demographics.
That’s why we launched efforts to reclaim the web, stop the spread of harmful disinformation, and uplift pro-immigrant candidates. Will you chip in to support our fight?

Team —
It’s no secret that the Latinx community has been the target of online disinformation campaigns for years. From misleading ads on Facebook to conspiracy theory threads circulating on WhatsApp, dangerous anti-immigrant narratives have been inflamed by exploitative actors targeting our community — all for political gain.
As Latinx voters have become a demographic that can sway elections, disinformation is even being weaponized to prevent Latinx communities from exercising their right to vote or learning the truth about anti-immigrant candidates.
We’re intervening by better engaging Latinx audiences, showing up in the spaces where they already are, and promoting our own positive, factual content — like informative Facebook ads and even memes on TikTok!
But it’s going to take a team effort to root out harmful disinformation and overcome the bad actors who seek to spread false, divisive narratives about immigrants and tear our communities apart.
