You may have already seen Gov. Reynolds’ race-baiting campaign ad.
But if you haven’t, it’s a despicable act by Iowa’s Governor. Every Iowa lawmaker, Republican and Democrat, should denounce the ad.
The Des Moines Register Editorial Board agrees that Gov. Reynolds’ ad is indefensible:

Gov. Reynolds aired an ad featuring Rep. Cori Bush. But here’s the deal: Cori Bush represents St. Louis Missouri and is not an elected official in Iowa. So, why did Gov. Reynolds air an ad trying to conflate Rep. Cori Bush with Deidre DeJear?
It’s because they’re both Black women. Gov. Reynolds’ ad features Rep. Cori Bush calling for defunding the police. Is this Deidre DeJear’s position on the issue? Nope. But Gov. Reynolds is sure hoping she can mislead Iowans into thinking it is.
This wasn’t an accident. Candidates always review their ads before they’re released. Gov. Reynolds knew exactly what she was doing.
Iowans deserve so much better from their elected officials. Will you chip in $10 and split a contribution between my campaign for the Iowa House and Deidre DeJear’s campaign for Iowa Governor? [[link removed]]
I support Deidre for Iowa Governor because I know she’ll work tirelessly to move our state forward and will never try to divide Iowans based on our differences.
